In Memory of Kay Yow

I know I'm a little late on this post, but I'm doing it anyway. As many of you probably know, the NC State Womens Basketball coach Kay Yow died Saturday after a long battle with cancer. Yow won her 1,000th game against Ole Miss, 66-62. That also was her last game, although she didn't know it yet.

800 and Counting

Whooooo! Sylvia Hatchell just got her 800th win! Carolina just beat State 75-66 at the Smith Center! Hatchell's 500th, 600th, 700th, and 800th win were all against State. She now joins the elite club of womens coaches with 800+ wins. The current members are Sylvia Hatchell, Pat Summit of Tennessee, C. Vivian Stringer of Rutgers, and Jody Conradt, a retired Texas coach. But anyway, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
