History Must Wait

Pat Summitt will have to wait at least one more game to get her 1000th win, after her 15th ranked Lady Vols lost 80-70 to 2nd ranked Oklahoma. She is already the winningest coach in College Basketball, mens or womens. She will probably get her 1000th win on Thursday, when Tennessee plays Georgia.

Second Hand, Baby!

As most of you probably know, the Pittsburgh Steelers won Super Bowl XLIII, to become the NFL franchise with the most Super Bowl wins, with six. They kept Larry Fitzgerald in check for most of the game, and James Harrison's 100 yard interception return at the end of the 1st half was a big momentum booster. The MVP Santonio Holmes had a great game-winning drive, which included the game winning touchdown catch with :35 left in the game.

Pack 39 Pinewood Derby

Yesterday was the Pinewood Derby for my Cub Scout pack. There were many different cars, including a homemade circut board. This picture is of my car, The Heisman. I won 1st place in Most Original for the 2nd straight year.

Steelers Keys to Win

The Steelers defense needs to play like the #1 defense they've been all season. If they let Larry Fitzgerald go what he did to the Panthers, the Cardinals will pull away, and not come back. Pittsburgh also needs Willie Parker to take control of the game against the #19 defense in the NFL. Hines Ward, even though he is not at full strength, will still be a factor, and Ben Roethlisberger will need to get him the ball.

Cardinals Keys to Win

To beat Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLIII, Arizona will have to get the ball to Larry Fitzgerald. He is their main offensive threat, but they also need to establish a good run game early. Fitzgerald is good, but if he is being triple-covered by Polomalu, Ike Taylor, and Deshea Townsend, the Cardinals need other options. Their defense needs to play the way they did against Carolina, or they don't stand a chance against Willie Parker and Hines Ward.

800 and Counting

Whooooo! Sylvia Hatchell just got her 800th win! Carolina just beat State 75-66 at the Smith Center! Hatchell's 500th, 600th, 700th, and 800th win were all against State. She now joins the elite club of womens coaches with 800+ wins. The current members are Sylvia Hatchell, Pat Summit of Tennessee, C. Vivian Stringer of Rutgers, and Jody Conradt, a retired Texas coach. But anyway, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
